America’s battle against abortion pills waged state by state

Currently, the FDA says it is safe under a two-drug regimen to have an abortion at home, up to 10 weeks pregnant. The World Health Organization also says it is safe in a two-drug procedure, for up to 12 weeks. Major health organizations and physician associations have filed briefs in the lawsuit, including the American Medical Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, which say the drug is effective and safe.
