This Audi A3 Sportback wears very little camouflage, which gives us a great look at the refreshed model. Plus, it wears a nice shade of dark green.
Entrances to the corners of the front fascia are one of the areas where Audi engineers are covering this A3 Sportback. Hiding them suggests that there is a new form that the company is not yet ready to reveal.
Elsewhere, the grille continues to have a hexagonal mesh pattern. The Four Rings logo now protrudes from the top of this area. The headlights appear to be the same shape, but there are updated graphics inside.
This A3 Sportback rolls on wheels with an intricate spoke pattern. They come out diagonally from the hub and split into V-shaped sections at the rim.
In the rear, engineers put foil over the taillights to disguise their revised design. Their shape looks the same. The company also covers the lower part of the rear bumper to hide the modifications.
We haven’t had a good look at the interior of the refreshed A3 Sportback so far. Looking through the windows, there don’t seem to be any significant changes. However, some technological upgrades are possible.
We don’t have any details on the powertrain changes for the refreshed A3 either. Currently, buyers have several engine options to choose from. Spy photos already show that new S3 And RS3 variations are on the way.
Considering the small amount of camouflage on this car, Audi doesn’t seem to mind people seeing it. This could be an indication that the premiere will take place soon. However, we wouldn’t expect the S3 and RS3 to debut at the same time. The automaker usually staggers the introduction of new model variants.
Audi is working on the electrification of its entire range. Those directly on the horizon are the A6 And Q6 E-Tron, including the high-performance RS variants. Moreover, the new generation A8 would adopt a style similar to the Grandsphere concept. There is renderings of an A3 E-Tron EVbut so far there are no spy photos of the automaker in active development.
