Bakhmut: Russian losses increase but tactics evolve

During a week of fighting for the city, Dwarf’s company faced conscript prisoners from the Russian Wagner Group. “We had battles every two hours,” he says. “I guess a single company eliminated 50 people a day.” In case of doubt, he points out that these figures have been confirmed by aerial reconnaissance. “THE [Russian vehicle] arrives, 50 bodies come out, one day passes, 50 bodies come out,” he said. His company lost a fraction of that number, he says.
