After an introductory period where EV owners could charge Rekascape’s Go To-U EV Lifestyle Hub for free, Cyberjaya moved to a pay-as-you-go model. Charger usage charges are now set at RM1.60 per kWh.
Rekascape chargers have the option to charge per kWh rather than per time as they are EVCS licensed by the Malaysian Energy Commission. However, note that although an EVCS license allows per kWh pricing instead of per minute pricing, it is not mandatory for the charging operator to provide per kWh pricing, which is why many sites with an EVCS license continue with time-based pricing.
Although per-kWh pricing is considered “more equitable” for all types of electric vehicles due to the different rates each electric vehicle can be charged, time-based pricing has the advantage of discouraging the use of chargers at highway sites where there might be a queue. to use the charger.
The Rekascape hub includes two Star Charge DC fast chargers capable of delivering up to 60kW of power. Each charger has two guns, so a total of four electric vehicles can charge at the hub at the same time. If two EVs are charging on the same charger, the charger’s 60 kW output is divided into 30 kW for each connected EV.
To operate the charger you need to download the Go To-U app linked below.
