The 1990 Alfa Romeo 164S represents the pinnacle of the 164 line, drawing 200 horsepower from one of the best V-6s ever built. Alfa was so concerned with reliability that it kept the 164 off the US market for three years while the car racked up millions of miles of durability testing. We still had problems in our first 3000 miles in the car. But look at those chrome intake runners and that leather cabin. Worth it? For a 142mph sedan with so much charisma, we’d say so.
